Assisting those living with disabilities

The LRA conducts proactive outreach programmes with the aim of providing every disabled person with the training that they require to enter and flourish in the workplace. This includes schools, hospitals, clinics, and disabled organisations.

The Learner Recruitment Agency (LRA) seeks to assist those living with disabilities by equipping them with the skills and experience to thrive in the workplace. Once training has been provided, the LRA identify suitable employment opportunities for learners and ensure that they are onboarded into their new role in a sustainable manner. All learnership programmes provided to LRA learners are provided for free.

The initiative is spearheaded by three individuals, namely: Rabiya Hassen, Leeroy Fourie, and Elizabeth Mokoena. This all-star leadership team boast extensive experience in the identification and upskilling of key individuals for placement in brands of various scales.

This initiative not only assists learners, but brands too, who benefit in multiple ways. By working with an agency such as the LRA, brands gain well-trained, carefully selected employees, while supporting disabled South Africans by providing them the opportunity to enter the workplace through a fair, inclusive process. This does, of course, contribute to a businesses’ overall BBBEE score too.
